“OPIUM” is a record label found by Playboi carti known for its experimental sound and appearance for the people included. The label is made up of five people:
- The founder, Jordan Carter, known as “Playboi Carti”
- Kenyatta Fraizer, known as “Ken Carson”
- Bobby Sandimanie III, known as “Destroy Lonely”
- Keyon Thomas, known as “Homixide Beno”
- Demetrius Chatman, known as “Homixide Meechie”
Keyon and Demetrius are usually referred to as a duo, “Homixide Gang”.
The label was founded in early 2019 as its influence grew rapidly and consistently over the years. This allowed for the artist name to gain traction and expand. The group used their talents to produce music seen as punk rock followed by a dark and edgy aesthetic. Each of the members released 3-4 projects under this label and pushed it hard.
